ALICE (or Down the Rabbit Hole)
What would the Highline of New York be without their skyscrapers and monumental buildings?
Both, the Highline and the buildings around it are intrinsically linked to each other.
Deep in the Underground of Delancey Street, near Williamsburg Bridge there is a hidden, almost forgotten place.
The Lowline of New York.
Until 2021 this abandoned spot will become the first underground park in the world.
Alice gives the Lowline its missing building.
The design obsessively refers to the novel “Alice in Wonderland” by the author Lewis Carroll.
Investigating the class’s drive for fashion, fabric and character, the novel takes hold into all aspects of the design process and its aesthetic completion.
Alice is story, building, graphic, and an urbanism.
